Delivery Coordinator
Department: Operations
Reports To: Warehouse/Operations Manager
FLSA Status: Full Time/Non-Exempt
Purpose
A Delivery Coordinator is responsible for designing, scheduling, and optimizing transportation or delivery routes to ensure efficient movement of goods, services, or personnel. The role focuses on minimizing travel time and costs while meeting customer service, safety, and operational requirements
Responsibilities
Create and coordinate multiple daily deliveries and installation routes
Contact customers via phone and email to schedule and confirm delivery appointments
Coordinate alternative delivery dates and times when scheduling conflicts arise
Work closely with sales, order processing, service, warehouse, and delivery teams to ensure smooth operations
Arrange and coordinate third-party delivery assistance as needed
Maintain accurate sales order statuses, scheduling updates, and customer notes within the eAutomate system
Provide ongoing communication and support to delivery drivers and field personnel throughout the day
Monitor delivery schedules and proactively resolve logistical or customer issues
Ensure customers receive timely updates regarding delivery timing and scheduling changes
Support overall operational efficiency and customer satisfaction through effective coordination and communication
Perform additional administrative and operational duties as assigned
